If you’ve purchased a Miss Planty Pants pot, you’ll likely notice they are made of a unique plastic material that is much different than the type of plastic you’d normally get from a nursery.

Because of the unique manufacturing method (3d printing), these pots can require slightly different care than other plastic or ceramic pots.

Storage

If your plant pots are not in use, store your pots in a cool, dry place. This will ensure that freezing water won’t crack the pots and high heat won’t warp the plastic.

Durability

With proper care, these pots can last years. They are plastic so they are not infallible but will function perfectly fine even when mishaps do happen – a drop of a ceramic pot from a few feet will shatter an expensive pot, but the same drop might create a small crack in your 3d printed pot, but at least you can still use it!

Weight

3d-printed plant pots are lightweight – perfect for the elderly or those in apartments. An eight inch pot weighs less than two pounds. However, because of this light weight, we do suggest adding stones or another weight to the bottom if you are planting very large or top-heavy plants.

Color Care

Darker colors may warp in temperatures 130+. They will usually be fine if it’s only for a few hours – but intense sun for 5+ hours and high temperatures can cause the plastic to warp.

Cleaning

Miss Planty Pants pots are unfortunately not dishwasher safe. To clean dirt off the pot, use a wet rag or, if there is a spot of dirt that is stuck, use the power wash setting on your kitchen faucet. Alternatively, put your thumb over end of the faucet to create some pressure.
